Colleagues shared insights into breeding in and for Africa, including local screening and the development of tailor‑made assortments. Together, these activities demonstrate how Rijk Zwaan contributes to sustainable impact through a strong, integrated value‑chain approach, built on quality, knowledge sharing and long‑term partnerships.

During the discussions, the delegation emphasized that efficiency is key to strengthening self‑sufficiency in fresh vegetables. Their ambition is to reduce the dependency of vegetable imports from neighbouring countries through local production, knowledge sharing and collaboration.
